The studio is super happy with the launch of our latest project, Thermobooth!

It´s the first project to come out of our collaborations with OSRAM´s OLED department, called "illuminating Innovation" which is funded by departure - the creative agency in Vienna.

We launched the Thermobooth to coincide with this year´s Vienna Design Week, and we´ve been completely overwhelmed by the positive feedback from festival visitors - we used up well over 500 meters of thermal paper on glorious instant low-fi thermal prints (!!) during the 10-day festival - as well as the interest from international press, including dezeen (who, of course, got their hands in first on our story and published it pre-launch, making us feel really rather cool) and designboom, but what impressed our collaboration partner OSRAM the most was when the booth was covered in a charming story on Wired magazine.

Certainly 10 days of volunteering to be the "other half" of the human-sized switch for lone visitors keen to try out the Thermobooth experience unexpectedly changed the way I interacted with friends and also with strangers - I found that I´d meaningfully and with absent-minded intent rest my hand on people´s arms/chests/cheeks/hands when chatting with them, as if the only way to truly capture a vocal interaction was the touchy-feely Thermobooth way. I wonder what my (Austrian) conversation partners thought because even I was surprised, and I´m Spanish!
